It is with such a heavy heart that I post this news, as we have lost someone very special in this world… someone we truly loved knowing and learning from. Charles Stagg, an amazing artist and friend passed away last night.
He fought hard, not just at the end, but all of his life. At least that’s how I feel about him. He fought to LIVE, live each day with passion and vigor. If there’s one thing Richie and I have learned from him and will take with us the rest of our lives it’s to do your life’s work and do it consistently, and with joy. That our bodies are meant to be used, our hands are meant for work, and our minds will stay sharp because of it. It was Charlie, without him even knowing it, that got us both through many days of renovation hell. When we felt like we couldn’t go on …. well, there was Charlie… showing us that we could and should.
We will miss him terribly and feel so blessed to have known him. Richie will never forget the time he spent with him working on his bottle house. It was the best.
Rest in peace, Charlie.

I am so sorry for your loss… I am sure Charlie will be there during all of your future projects as well. xoxo
You are too sweet! Thanks for leaving a few words, Bailey. Some people change your life for the better and he was one of those rare souls who did just that.
You’re welcome — It is so painful losing those gems in our lives. I find comfort in knowing that they will always be with us in the little things they left behind (whether they be memories or objects).
