I’ll spare you another boring post about how slow things are going in the Master Bedroom. Yes Stacey, we get it… things are moving SLOW! We really are working like crazy but even renovation slaves need a break for estate sale treasure hunts. You never know what you’ll find. It’s always a fun mix of things…..
Richie found this great Organic Structure Set.
We had fun putting a few together. I found them so colorful and decorative that I think I’ll keep a couple around the house. They really remind me of the Eames Hang-It-All racks.
We love old black and white photographs and pick them up all the time. I think they are super cool and you can just imagine the story around the people and places you see. We’ve got a great little collection going and some day I’m going to find a way to display them. Here’s a few (only a small sample) of what we found.
I love the ladies sitting on the edge of the water. I wonder what they were talking about?
Women can talk some good gossip when they get together.
That cool old car either broke down, or maybe they’re just plain LOST and decided to take pictures instead.
The lady below is obviously a singer in an orchestra/big-band. Isn’t she gorgeous!
I bet she has a beautiful voice. Come on…you know she does. The other one says Monterrey Cathedral on the back. I’m assuming it’s the one in Mexico. It looks like it anyway. You don’t have to know these people to know them. It’s so great!
I had to give you a close up of the one below. This is actually more like a postcard and obviously too GREAT to pass up. The Ritters look like a fun group. What a hoot!
We also found this cone lamp that swivels. It’s a fiberglass cone, exactly like the Eames shell chairs. The fibers are very prominent and it works like new. The base is SUPER heavy and feels like ceramic. At first I thought I would sell it on Ebay but it’s really starting to grow on me.
There is more stuff… but I’ll share it on the next post. Just a few fun finds to share today.
We are making progress in the Master Bedroom but I just couldn’t forgive myself if I showed you more pictures of white sheetrock mud. I HATE DOING SHEETROCK WORK!
It’s slow and tedious and creates a huge mess. But it is coming together. The closet shelves are all done and will look so amazing once I paint them. Here’s the shelves (and that’s all I’ll bore you with.)
My shoes are going to be so happy!
Hi, thanks for the like on our Eames/Herman Miller post. Love this organic structure set, what a fabulous find! Your blog is such fun, good luck with the reno…
