I’m in the BEST mood! I’m so happy to be off work until the new year and look forward to all that I’ll accomplish during these weeks. All the stress has left my body and my brain is getting retrained to do WHAT I WANT… not what someone else wants me to do. It really is “the most wonderful time of the year” (giggling). They’ll be more posts than usual and probably annoying at times… but remember…. I HAVE way more time on my hands. My “wordy” new pillow arrived a few days ago. I bought this a couple weeks ago from an online “members only” shop. I originally got it for the master bedroom, but since that room is nothing but sheetrock, dust, and spiderwebs, I put it in the guest room. It speaks my language…..
Also, while out browsing in a shop I ran across these modern ZAK! bowls. They were the only two in the shop and I got them for NOTHING! I couldn’t let them sit there. They needed to go home with me immediately. LOVE THEM! The colors are so great and the insides black. Perfect for my new kitchen.
To be honest I really don’t like the holidays. Well, let me rephrase that… I don’t like the craziness and the manic behavior the holidays put on people. After Thanksgiving I become a hermit and almost refuse to go anywhere near the mall. If I need something I go to small shops or right when stores are about to close. It keeps me sane to stay away from the insanity. But I do enjoy the holidays and the beauty of it all. Family, time off with my husband, the beautiful decorations and lights, the spirit of giving and the way people seem to be a little more kind and forgiving (except at the mall) and of course the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. So I’m not totally a grinch..

So now I’m working on making some handmade Christmas cards. I usually make them every year but last year was a bust. I just had too much going on so I’m making up for it this year. These cards are fun because I get to play with paper and use my sewing machine. Here’s a sneak peek….
I’ve also been making some tree ornaments and a wreath and fun stuff like that.
Now I’m off to the dreaded store to get a paint pen. AHHHHHHHH, hopefully I won’t kill anyone! (just kidding) Have a great day!

Oh that brick! Thanks Bailey, it was a beatch to clean and paint. 53 years of grime took me days to clean. I do like the texture having a brick wall adds to a space and painting it was the right thing to do. so bright and clean. The bowls are HUGE. I could easily use them as a planter too! :-)
